Katie & Kimble Go Green! You might not notice how “green” the Katie & Kimble: A Ghost Story chapter book series is until you get to the second book, Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish.
In the second Katie & Kimble
book, we discover that the Russell family is trying to eat healthier
foods. Can you think of an example? That’s right—they only have pizza
on special occasions and they don’t eat much red meat anymore.
Katie’s
family also cares about the earth and about all living things, like
trees. For example, when Katie’s dad does the grocery shopping, he
takes cloth bags with him. No paper or plastic for him! And when he
puts up a swing on the old oak tree in the backyard, he’s very careful
not to harm the tree and he doesn’t use any nails at all.
Mr. Russell also shows how much he cares about the earth when he sings one of his favorite songs in Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish. It’s called “For the Beauty of the Earth.” It’s a beautiful old hymn. You can listen to free samples of the song here.

1) the name of the recipient;
2) the occasion (birthday, get well, etc.);
3) the age of the recipient would be helpful if a child and if a birthday;
4) the email address of the adult who will take receipt of the card for the child;
5) the date you'd like the card to arrive.
Each
card will have a picture from the Katie & Kimble books, some music
(turn on your sound!), and a personal message from Linda.
When you receive the e-Card notice, you can come back to the Katie &
Kimble blog to pick it up. You'll receive an email telling you
what your e-Card number is. Then you enter it into the gold box
on the sidebar and click on GO. It's so easy!

More videos include music from Hanukah, like many different versions of The Dreidel Song. My favorite is a 3-year-old boy who stops in the middle of The Dreidel Song and starts singing Jingle Bells! His dad tells him no, so just like that, he switches back to The Dreidel Song! It's very cute!
I've also added different people playing Graceful Ghost on the piano. It's such a beautiful song, so sad and sweet, and it always reminds me of Kimble.
And as a special treat, I've included a personal favorite - Charlie Bit My Finger. This video has been watched by 140 million people. You'll see why - it's actually very funny!
