Visit the Katie & Kimble YouTube channel!
On
the Katie & Kimble YouTube channel, you can watch a lot of fun
videos. One is 6-year-old Ki doing her review of the first four
chapters of Katie &
Kimble: A Ghost Story! Another is the Katie & Kimble: A Ghost Story trailer.
More
videos include music from Hanukah, like many different versions of The
Dreidel Song. My favorite is a 3-year-old boy who stops in the middle
of The Dreidel Song and starts singing Jingle Bells! His dad tells him
no, so just like that, he switches back to The Dreidel Song! It's very
cute!
I've also added different people playing Graceful Ghost on
the piano. It's such a beautiful song, so sad and sweet, and it always
reminds me of Kimble.
And as a special treat, I've included a
personal favorite - Charlie Bit My Finger. This video has been watched
by 140 million people. You'll see why - it's actually very funny!
Enjoy your visit to the Katie & Kimble Channel!

“Katie and Kimble: The Magic Wish” by Linda Thieman is the second book
in this series about Katie and Kimble I have read. They are fun and
easy for the reader to follow. I really like these books about friends
because they always have a happy ending and make me feel good. I liked
both books equally well.
This is a story about two girls named Katie and Kimble. Katie is eating
a box of Magic Wishes for breakfast and finds a coupon inside the box
that says “good for one free wish.” Every time Kimble holds up the
coupon and looks on the back of it, it says different messages. The
last time they turned it over it read the wish will only last for two
days.
Katie and Kimble kept trying to think what they would like to wish for.
Katie wished that Kimble could be human for two days because Kimble was
a ghost. Kimble agreed on the wish. Kimble was scared but she knew it
would be fun. When Mrs. Russell saw Kimble was a human she was so
happy. Mr. Russell did not know about Kimble yet.
When Mr. Russell got home from grocery shopping they had a talk about
Kimble being in the Russell family. It was Mr. Russell’s choice. He
agreed that Kimble could be in their family for two days. Katie was
glad her dad said yes.
Kimble was starving while she was human. But after she ate lunch she
got sick and threw up on the garage, but she was fine after. When the
day had come that Kimble was going to turn back into a ghost they were
all sad to see Kimble go. When Kimble had disappeared Katie was sad and
ran to
her mom and hugged her.
Katie went into the garage and looked at the scratch on her bike. Mr.
Russell walked into the garage to see what Katie was doing. Mr. Russell
told Katie to come inside because he had a surprise that would cheer
her up. Katie closed her eyes and when she opened them, there in front
of her was a picture of Katie and Kimble that really made Katie happy.
But, part of her was still sad that she may never see Kimble again.

3 Moms and a Girl Review Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish!
In
Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish, Book 2 in the Katie & Kimble
series (290L), the
author takes Katie & Kimble where no ghostly tale has gone before.
It's time for Kimble to make herself at home with Katie's family!
Nine-year-old Katie, and Kimble, the ghost of a ten-year-old girl, find
a coupon for a magic wish in a box of breakfast cereal. Their wish
leads to all manner of hilarious difficulties, including how to tell
Katie's dad about Katie's new friend, Kimble, who suddenly appears out
of nowhere looking very much like an old-fashioned girl. Can the lonely
Kimble find love and acceptance within a human family?
Homeschool Messenger (Susieqtpie's review of Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish) "BOOK
2 kept my daughter's inquisitive attention from the get go! It started
with a mysterious coupon found in a cereal box stating that it is 'good
for one wish.' I always LOVED getting the goodie in the cereal box as a
kid!... What is it that they wish for and how will it forever change
the girls' lives as well as Katie's family's life? You'll have to read
the book to find out!!!" @susieqtpies
Café of Dreams (April's review of Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish) "Readers
(and parents) looking for a wholesome and rewarding story will be
incredibly satisfied with Katie & Kimble - through both A Ghost
Story and The Magic Wish. This is an amazing and timeless series that I
can see being read by generations to come." @cafeofdreams
The Book Connection (Cheryl's review of Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish) "One
of the best aspects of this book is the complete acceptance of Kimble
into the Russell family from Katie's parents, her two-year-old brother,
Toby--who has always been able to see Kibo (as he calls her)--and even
the family's dog, Twinkle." @ccmalandrinos

The results are in from the Writer's Digest 16th Annual Book Awards, and I am pleased to announce that Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish,
Book
2 in the Katie & Kimble series, has received a great review!
Here's what the contest judge said:
"I haven't read the other Katie & Kimble book, but after
visiting the author's website to see what it's all about, I'm sure it
is a favorite. Ms. Thieman has developed a site that young people are
sure to enjoy.
Books like this, well-written with a good plot, well-presented and
illustrated, are a pleasure to read. I liked the characters and the
open-mindedness of the parents in accepting Kimble into their family. I
think it's a delightful theme to a story.
Written with a nice flow. A good bedtime story book, easy for
young people to read, too. I also like the coupon idea! The author can
be congratulated on doing a splendid job."
Thank you, thank you very much! LOL

In Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish, Mr. Russell Sings! Hear the Song Here!

In Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish, Mr. Russell Sings!
In
Katie & Kimble: The Magic Wish, Book 2 in the Katie & Kimble
series (290L), you will discover that Katie's dad, Mr. Russell, likes to sing!
He sings loudly and he sings well. In fact, he likes to sing when he
feels full of joy!
The song that Mr. Russell sings is called "For the Beauty of the
Earth." It's a beautiful old hymn - one of my favorites. You will
notice, if you send a free Katie & Kimble e-card, that you can
choose this song. Listen here.
I wanted Katie & Kimble readers to be able to hear this beautiful
song with the words. So, I made up a list of songs from iTunes so you
can hear free samples.
The first version of the song is from the 1994 movie Little Women,
a story about four sisters growing up together 150 years ago. This version has
just two voices singing with no music. It is very plain and sweet.
The second version of the song is sung by a group of sisters called
BarlowGirl. This is an amazing and beautiful arrangement. It almost
sounds like a Christmas carol. This might be considered odd since this
song is not a Christmas song. But, I sure do enjoy listening to the
BarlowGirl version. It's very modern.
The third version of the song is sung by the St. John's Children's
Choir. It's almost like a dream. It starts out with one child singing
alone. Then more children join in on the second verse. This version
sounds more like church music, with an organ playing in the background.
All three of these versions are quite different. And yet, they are all
the same song! Click below to hear the free iTunes samples.
